Requirements

Experience

Grade 1: None.

Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.

Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.

Inherent requirements of the job: Willing to rotate in other wards when required.

Willingness to work shifts (day and night), weekends, public holidays and overtime.

Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good Interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, but also as a part of a team.

Duties

(key result areas/outputs): Assist patients with activities of daily living which includes patient hygiene, nutritional status, mobility and elimination needs.

Provide elementary clinical nursing care.

Effective utilization of physical and financial resources.

Maintaining professional growth/ethical standards and self-development and record keeping.
