Confirm the interview details
Check the date, venue, time, contact person, and documents you must bring. Save the address, plan your route, and aim to arrive at least twenty to thirty minutes early.
Study the vacancy carefully
Read the job title, salary level, duties, and requirements again. Make notes on how your experience, qualifications, and strengths match what the department asked for.
Prepare your documents
Take certified copies if required, your ID, qualifications, driver’s licence if relevant, and extra copies of your CV and Z83. Put everything in a neat folder.
Practice common questions
Prepare answers for tell us about yourself, why should we hire you, what do you know about this department, your strengths and weaknesses, conflict handling, and examples of teamwork or problem solving.
Presentation matters
Dress neatly, speak clearly, and answer in a calm, respectful way. Government interviews often value professionalism, structure, and honesty more than flashy answers.
