Experience
Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Inherent requirement of the job: Will be required to work shifts, night duty, weekends, public holidays as well as overtime.
Willingness to rotate within the hospital.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
Knowledge to relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health, Western Cape.
Duties
(key result areas/outputs): Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care).
To provide elementary clinical nursing care.
Effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
Maintain professional growth/ ethical standards and self-development.
