Experience
Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/ recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/ recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
Inherent requirements of the job: Ability to work shifts during the day and night, weekends and public holidays and overtime when required by supervisor.
Willingness to rotate within different Functional Business Units.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Sound knowledge of SANC Regulation which prescribe nursing practice.
The ability to function independently in a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to direct the team to ensure quality nursing care.
Good 231 interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to deal with conflict situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
Duties
(key result areas/outputs): Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care).
Provide elementary clinical nursing care.
Effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
Maintain professional growth / ethical standards and self-development.
