Experience
Grade 1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Nursing Assistant with the SANC.
Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, night duty, including weekends, public holidays as well as overtime.
To rotate in all the wards in the hospital when needed.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of recordkeeping procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organisational skills and the ability to function under pressure and as part of a team.
Ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently.
Duties
(key result areas/outputs): Assist patients with activities of daily living which include patient hygiene, nutritional status, mobility and elimination needs.
Provide elementary clinical nursing care.
Effective utilization of resources.
Maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self-development.
Record keeping.
