Grade 1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with 224 the SANC as a Staff Nurse.

Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.

Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.

Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to travel.

Willingness to support when necessary and to work at other clinics in the Sub-district as well as on mobile clinic.

Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and insight of relevant legislation and policy related to nursing within the public sector.

Ability to promote quality patient care through the implementation of protocols, guidelines, and standards.

Duties

(key result areas/outputs): Development and implementation of basic patient care plans to all patients.

Provide basic clinical nursing care.

Effective utilization of resources.

Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.

Participate in infection prevention and control.
