Duties
Coordinate, review and maintain valuation services, policies and procedures.
Undertake research on current best practices in relation to property valuation services.
Facilitate in, implement and maintain property valuations policies, procedures and frameworks in line with applicable prescripts.
Ensure compliance with related prescripts, delegations and procedures.
Communicate all property valuations policies and procedures to relevant stakeholders.
Establish proper property valuations governance processes and internal control measures.
Execute property valuation services in line with applicable standards.
Carry out valuations for acquisition or disposal of property, Property market related values for Immovable Asset Register.
Compile detailed valuation reports to clients.
Review and object to Municipal General Valuation Rolls and relevant Municipal Supplementary valuations, Draft evaluation reports for submission to the Land Affairs Board, certify correctness of valuations reports to the Department.
Indicate any changes in the properties and ensure maintenance of records.
Represent the Department in valuation disputes.
Assist in Appointing and coordinating external valuations processes and relationships.
Assist in assessing private evaluatorsβ reports and services.
Collaborating with external and internal stakeholders.
