Experience
Appropriate groundsman experience in managing large grounds.
Inherent requirement of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
Physically fit and must be able to perform manual labour.
Willingness to work overtime, when required.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
Capacity to work amongst people with disabilities or special mental healthcare needs.
Ability to use and handle gardening equipment.
Duties
(key result areas/outputs): Effective maintenance of hospital grounds.
To render general and groundsman services.
Perform all activities related to gardening and grounds, pruning of trees, cleaning of gutters etc.
Effective removal of domestic and medical waste.
Effective support to Supervisor.
