Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std. 7).Experience: Appropriate experience, in the operating of a switchboard.
Inherent requirement of the job: The ability to work, day and night shifts, on weekends and public holidays when required.
Physically able 227 to hear and speak clearly.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): The ability to operate switchboard equipment effectively and efficiently.
Excellent telephone etiquette.
Able to communicate effectively.
Duties
(key result areas/outputs): Handling of all incoming and outgoing calls as well as telephonic enquiries.
Ensure effective and efficient communication, both internally and externally between staff, clientele and the general public.
Processing and distribution of monthly telephone accounts.
Keep monthly statistics.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the supervisor.
Monthly update of the telephone extension list.
Receive and ensure accurate distribution of faxes and other messages.
