Experience

Grade 1: None.

Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.

Grade 3: A minimum of 20 219 years’ appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.

Inherent requirement of the job: Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Willingness to work overtime when necessary and to work all departments at Helderberg Hospital.

Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills (written and verbal) Basic Computer skills in MS Word and Outlook.

Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health and Wellness, Western Cape.

Duties

Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.

Effective functioning within multidisciplinary team.

Effective utilization of resources.

Assist patients with activities of daily living.

Provide elementary clinical nursing care.
