Requirements

Competencies

  • Knowledge of the following: Applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures and best practices
  • Strategy development, strategy management and strategy monitoring and review processes
  • Modern systems of governance and administration
  • Research methodologies
  • Leading data governance or project management offices within government or large organisations
  • Project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on data-centric projects
  • WCG Provincial Strategic Plan
  • Development, strategy management and strategy monitoring and review processes
  • Modern systems of governance and administration
  • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National and PT Regulations, other financial policies, prescripts, directives, and collective agreements
  • Ato communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and stakeholders. Skills needed: Communication (written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Duties

Research, refine and develop institutional change policies, strategies, and frameworks; Perform project management functions with regards to the implementation of institutional change programmes and projects; Facilitate the successful implementation of the department's e-vision strategy project, by harnessing data warehouse capabilities to support informed decision-making, business intelligence (BI), and reporting; Champion the digital transformation journey through the implementation of BI Project; Communicate and report on matters pertaining to institutional change programmes.
